The City of Lufkin will TEST the emergency notification system at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 2.
EVERYONE in Angelina County should receive a notification by text, phone call and email, and those who have them -telephone land-lines.
Please understand this will be a TEST, and residents do not need to do anything.
We urge Lufkin residents to sign up for Lufkin Alerts. This emergency notification system enables the City to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
